The City of Kingston's Project Manager for Climate Leadership, Business, Environment & Projects

·         Home Energy Retrofit Program for existing single family residential buildings which focusses on target market segments to optimize GHG and cost reduction impact 

·         Green Standard for new building construction which establishes performance tiers and corresponding incentives to influence developers to voluntarily build above the Ontario Building Code.

David Roewade comes from a business development and marketing background and has integrated these skill sets into his environmental career for the past 30 years.  His undergraduate degree is in environmental resource management and a Master’s degree focused on climate change and economic development. 

David operated an environmental consulting business for several years with clients including the federal government, industry associations, post-secondary schools and community groups.

David has 18 years’ experience with two different leading municipalities in the areas of climate adaptation, community energy planning, facilities and fleet management pertaining to GHG mitigation, health hazard investigation and sustainable transportation. He also has recent experience in the renewable energy sector and has an acute interest in cleantech investments.
