Background on Irene Hassas:
Irene’s enthusiasm in building and growing companies as well as economic development of communities and the province has been the driving force in leading many projects in both private & public sectors. In private sector, she has managed sales, operations & business development in cleantech industry in the areas of air, water & wastewater treatment in jurisdictions such as US, Latin America, South East Asia, and MENA region. Prior to joining private sector, she served in public sector liaising with different stakeholders, recommending innovative solutions to industry.
As a board member and committee chair of different organizations such as Ontario Environment Industry, Ontario Onsite Wastewater, Partners in Projects Green, Ryerson University, she leads committee meetings and roundtables, organizes Cleantech events and leads discussion on industry challenges & opportunities with MPPs & Ministers at Queens Park.
She has completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University, an executive training from Harvard Business School in Aligning Strategy and Sales as well as Business Leadership Development from Ivey School of Business.
As a leadership member of Aslan Technologies, a global manufacturing company headquartered in Ontario, she develops strategic plans & partnerships and business opportunities at the national & international levels, for the growth & expansion in different markets, where Aslan’s innovative water and wastewater treatment systems are making communities more sustainable and enabling timely & economically feasible developments in residential, commercial and industrial markets.
