Ben Stinson: QSBRI DEVELOPMENT OF THE PASSIVE BACK FLUSH VALVE FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE HEAT PUMPS
This presentation will focus on one of QSBRI in house technology developments, Passive Back Flush, (PBF). This innovative technology was developed at Queen’s University and used in the EnerWorks solar thermal system. QSBRI has recently engaged Neoperl Inc. a valve manufacturer to help with the design and fabrication of a new PBF valve that can be used in high performance heat pumps. This presentation explains the problem of fouling in heat exchangers, the benefits of PBF and the changing landscape of the domestic hot water heating market in North America and globally.
QSBRI Innovations Inc. is a renewable energy company located in Kingston, Ontario, operating since October 2012.
